GlenGuard® is a premium inherently flame resistant fabric. The protection is in the fibre itself (meta-aramid and FR modacrylic), so it can't wash out or wear away. At 5.3 oz, it's much lighter than cotton FR. It's the shirt for summer turnarounds and long days in the sun, when heavy twill feels like a penalty.

Light doesn't mean less protected. It carries a 9.5 cal/cm² arc rating (ATPV), CAT 2, is certified by UL to NFPA 2112, meets ASTM F1506 and CAN/CGSB-155.20, and is arc-rated for use under NFPA 70E and CSA Z462. The 2" segmented silver FR reflective trim in the CSA pattern meets CSA Z96-15, and it flexes with the fabric instead of stiffening it.
